By now you have probably noticed that the web site for THS has already gone through three major revisions. We are currently trying out a content managment system (CMS) known as Drupal. At the meeting on 12/03 we had already setup the previous Joomla CMS. Joomla had promise as it is so well known but there were some bothersome aspects to include a lack of free theme support. Joomla did have some very nice meta data gathering tools which at this point I am not sure if Drupal will be able to do exactly what we want, but it would seem that Drupal can do just about everything, so I will investigate that and make recommendations to the President. Much of my own background with CMS is in Php-Fusion, but, I already know some of the shortcomings of that package and felt it was time for us to learn a more robust system for usch an important undertaking. That being said, the web site isn't exactly pretty yet, nor does it have much information, but I will get the framework done, jazz it up a little, test out the features and we will get going.
